Important Note About Recommendations and Matching

CAMPUS may use information such as athletic data, academic information, preferences, profile content, roster information, and platform activity to generate recommendations, fit indicators, rankings, comparison tools, and recruiting insights.

These outputs are designed to assist with recruiting decisions and platform usability. They do not guarantee recruiting outcomes, scholarship offers, admissions decisions, roster spots, playing time, transfer opportunities, or coach responses.

4. Profile Visibility, Messaging, and User Content

CAMPUS is designed to help users connect through profiles, messaging, recruiting insights, and shared content. As a result, certain information may be visible to other users depending on account type, privacy settings, and platform features.

Profile Visibility

Depending on product settings and user role, portions of an athlete, coach, academy, or program profile may be visible to:

  • college coaches and programs;
  • parents or guardians linked to an athlete account;
  • academy or coaching partners where applicable;
  • other authorized users of the platform; and
  • in some cases, the public, if a user chooses to make portions of a profile public.

Users may be able to control certain profile visibility settings through their account settings. Some information may still remain visible where necessary to provide the Services.

Messaging

If you send messages or outreach through CAMPUS, we may process, store, and deliver those communications as part of the Services. We may also monitor message metadata and, where necessary, message content for safety, abuse prevention, platform integrity, customer support, and enforcement of our Terms and policies.

If CAMPUS offers coach engagement tracking, such as message opens, clicks, or related activity, those features may be used to provide users with communication insights.

User Content

Users may upload or submit content such as:

  • profile photos
  • swing videos
  • tournament videos
  • images
  • statistics
  • written bios
  • academic and recruiting content
  • messages and communications

That content may be visible to other users based on account type, privacy settings, and platform functionality.

If you upload photos, videos, or other content featuring a minor, you represent that you are the minor’s parent or guardian, or otherwise have the legal authority to provide that content and authorize its use on the platform.

We may remove or restrict content that violates our Terms, safety standards, or applicable law.

5. Children’s Privacy and Parental Rights (COPPA)

CAMPUS complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We take children’s privacy seriously and have implemented specific protections for users under 13.

Information We Collect from Children Under 13

With verified parental consent, we collect the following categories of personal information from children under 13:

  • Identity: first name, last name, email address, and password (for account login)
  • Demographics: date of birth and gender (for recruiting eligibility and program matching)
  • Location: city and state (for geographic matching with college programs)
  • Education: high school name, school level, and graduation year (for recruiting timeline)
  • Golf: experience level, tournament results, handicap, and performance statistics (for program matching and coach visibility)
  • Academics: GPA, SAT/ACT scores (if voluntarily provided, for academic eligibility)
  • Preferences: recruiting goals, college priorities, and operating style (for personalized guidance)

How We Use Children’s Information

  • Profile creation: displaying the child’s recruiting profile to college coaches
  • College matching: matching the child with appropriate college golf programs based on their goals and qualifications
  • Communication: enabling coaches and athletes to communicate through the platform
  • Platform functionality: providing personalized recruiting guidance and recommendations

Who Can See Children’s Information

  • College coaches who use CAMPUS for recruiting purposes
  • The linked parent or guardian through the Parent Dashboard
  • CAMPUS staff for platform support and maintenance
  • Service providers (hosting, payment processing) as necessary to operate the platform

We do not sell children’s personal information to third parties. We do not use children’s data for targeted advertising.

Parental Consent Process

We obtain verifiable parental consent using the FTC-approved “email-plus” method:

  1. When a child under 13 begins signup, we collect only their date of birth and gender, then immediately request parent contact information.
  2. We send a detailed consent email to the parent disclosing exactly what data will be collected and how it will be used.
  3. The parent reviews the disclosure and provides explicit consent by checking a consent checkbox.
  4. The parent completes account setup and the $299/year subscription payment, which serves as additional identity verification.

Parental Rights

Parents and guardians of children under 13 have the following rights, which can be exercised through the Parent Dashboard at /parent/dashboard or by contacting us:

  • Review: access all information collected about your child at any time
  • Download: export a complete copy of your child’s data in JSON format
  • Correct: request changes or corrections to inaccurate data
  • Revoke: withdraw your consent at any time, which will immediately deactivate your child’s account and cancel their subscription
  • Delete: request permanent deletion of all your child’s personal information

Data Retention for Children

  • Active accounts: data retained while parental consent is valid and the account is active
  • Consent revocation: account deactivated immediately; personal data deleted from active systems within 30 days
  • Account deletion: data removed from active systems within 30 days, from backups within 90 days
  • Consent records: retained for 7 years for legal compliance, even after account deletion

If you are a resident of certain U.S. states, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Virginia, or other states with applicable privacy laws, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information, including rights to access, correct, delete, or opt out of certain processing activities.

CAMPUS does not sell personal information in the ordinary meaning of that term, but some privacy laws define “sale,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising” broadly. If CAMPUS uses cookies, analytics, or advertising technologies in ways that trigger those laws, users may have additional opt-out rights.

If required by applicable law, CAMPUS will honor eligible privacy requests and provide a means to exercise those rights.

You may contact us to submit a state privacy request using the contact information below.

12. Third-Party Services and Links

CAMPUS may contain links to third-party websites or services and may allow integrations with third-party platforms. Those third parties operate under their own privacy policies and terms, and CAMPUS is not responsible for their practices.
